Dr. Alan Wolfelt Seminar
By George Inggs

As part of life at Traditional Funerals we often have had the privilege of sitting with the many families we serve and listening to their thoughts, wishes and beliefs in regards to how they wish to conduct the funeral service of their loved one.
It is an honour to be entrusted with such an important role. Unfortunately, there are few occasions for our staff to take stock and find time away from delivering these important front line services and instead take time to conduct some much needed personal development.
This year the Traditional Funerals team were lucky enough to attend a weekend seminar led by Dr Alan Wolfelt.
Dr Wolfelt is a well known author, educator and professional grief counselor. He is also a very passionate advocate for a meaningful Funeral Service.
This learning experience was invaluable, informative, engaging and a wonderful insight into how a good funeral service can help and be healthy for mourners. We were looking forward to this seminar collectively as in the past we have watched quite a few of Dr Wolfelt’s discussions and other funeral related videos on YouTube and found them to be insightful and helpful in further improving the way we approach serving our families.
There is no doubt that we have drawn a lot from the experience of being a part of his audience and we are excited to implement his teachings as we continue to develop and grow in the way we serve our families.
